Environment issue is now a global challenge to every country in the world, this problems in China are increasingly crucial than ever. It becomes one of the biggest obstacles in China’s development, the environmental protection is now taking a more important role in China’s economic development. Consequently, this situation brings about the spring to the Chinese Environmental Service Industry development. At this particular stage, a certain number of leading water companies is showing their strong willingness to create a service organization for the industry itself.
Initiated by well-known domestic environmental companies such as Sound Group and Beijing Capital, as well as leading foreign water companies such as Veolia Water, the Environmental Service Industry Association, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ESIA, ACFIC), a non-profit membership organization under the leadership of ACFIC for environmental service industry and related industries, will come into service from 12th June 2007.
The tenet of the Association is to develop the ESIA through membership, services and credibility, and guide and educate members to be patriotic, dedicated and sincere and abide by law and contribute their efforts. Preserve members’ lawful rights and interests, promote their competence, and make contributions to the standardization and development of environmental service industry.
