¡¡¡¡Professor E Xueli, born in October 1951, graduated from Ocean University of Qingdao in 1977. Director of Department of Water Quality Monitoring, Institute of Environmental Health and Related Product Safety, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Long engaged in the safety of drinking water, drinking water and health, water quality standards and other researches. 1987-1988 had been sent to Canada and the United States for advanced study. Until now had completed many projects from Ministry of Health and Ministry of Science and Technology successively. Such as ¡°Drinking Water Health Standards, monitoring and evaluation (2001-2002)¡± , ¡°Safe Water Supply Emergency Technology (2001-2002)¡± , ¡°Standard Test Facility for Evaluating Sanitation and Function of Home Water Treatment Devices(2004-2005)¡± , ¡°The Establishment and Benefit of Analysis Quality Assurance System¡± , ¡°Nationwide Investigation of Drinking Water Quality and Water-borne Diseases¡± , ¡°Global Environmental Monitoring System ¨C Dynamic Study on Water Qualities of Yangtze River, Yellow River, Pearl River and Taihu Lake¡± , ¡°Sanitary Monitoring of Drinking Water Quality of Rural Areas¡± and ¡°Drinking Water Atlas of China¡±. Recently Presided over amendments to ¡°Sanitary Standards for Drinking Water¡± (GB5749) and ¡°Standard Examination Methods for Drinking Water¡± ( GB5750) , participated in the drafting of the ¡°Notice of Office of the State Council on strengthening the safety of drinking water¡±, ¡°National security planning of urban drinking water¡±, and took charge of the ¡°11th Five-Year Plan¡± national scientific and technological support key project ¡°safe water supply and water-borne diseases testing technology and equipment development in rural areas¡±. Published more than 40 articles and edited the ¡°Deep purification of drinking water and water processor¡±. Has won a first prize of Advancement of Science and Technology of the State and three third prizes, A ministerial-level first prize of Advancement of Science and Technology, and four second prizes. Member of professional committee for water related products assessing. Conferred the title of ¡°Prominent Contributive Expert of the Middle-age and young¡± by Ministry of Personnel and enjoyed the ¡°Special Subsidy of the State Council
